:: Yep...this farmer's wife is a beauty

It has been a long, long wait from the start of my Farmer's Wife Sampler quilt, and you have stuck with me the whole way. Now, after weeks and weeks of nothing but individual blocks, I'm so excited (so, so excited) to show you the finished quilt top (minus the borders). Please excuse all the pictures.  There are alot of them!  My design wall (aka - a plastic picnic tablecloth) worked great and kept the un-sewn blocks from being tramped on through this process.

I set the blocks on point, and used little squares of printed fabrics for the cornerstones, while using a creamy white for the sashings.
I haven't decided what fabrics to use for the borders, so for now I just love to stare at it, in all of it's creamy, colorful goodness!  If you haven't done so yet, you really ought to give this one a try!

    1. Thanks Serena. It is still my favorite quilt ever, and you are going to love it too! Be sure and check out Camille's tutorial called "The Makings of a Farmer's Wife" (search Farmer's Wife in her search field) and she shows how to use a small rotary cutter to cut multiple pieces at once - taking the cutting from tedious to fast and fun! It's how I cut out all my blocks. www.camilleroskelley.typepad.com (Her Farmer's Wife quilt it what inspired me to buy the book!) Email me (under "contact me" tab) once you get your book, and I'll send you the PDF for all the templates in a condensed form, so you don't have to print out 1-per-page like they come on the disk. It's a ton of pages if you print them that way. Can't wait to see yours start.
